after a little calm before a storm, caught a cab to an ex-abortoire to meet robert (plant) and alison krauss for a little photo-shooting action.

it started with concrete floor envy in the apartment.
but it soon quickly turned in to 'difficult to comprehend' absolute warehouse envy on a scale i've not before witnessed.
just one of the 4 buildings alone has half a million square feet of space.
amazing, industrial space with incredible architecture.
river frontage and masses of additional land around it.
it was incredible.
and 10 years ago, it was so cheap, it was almost free.

after the shoot, we (jon from XL records, craig (mclean), frances, daniel and me) went for dinner somewhere delicious and 'got on one'.
this is us outside 'the raconteurs' sold out gig at the 'mercy lounge'.
daniel's got big black crosses on his hands because he's 18: under 21's all get this treatment at venues that sell liquor.
he's out here to record his album.
i keep getting 'carded' anywhere that i buy a drink.
people are VERY tight on not serving underage kids/grown-ups here.
the racounters gig was amazing.

walked back to the hotel.
and continued to drink in the bar there.
when that closed we disbanded and moved towards beds.
but then i decided to 'force' frances to join me in coninued drinking on broadway and found a bad country band in a bar and more liquor.
it's been a while since i've been truly sozzled.
