up at 4am

drove to stanstead asleep.

spent way too long in queues and narrowly managed to catch a plane to berlin

where it is raining.

couldn't check into one's hotel so kicked about the streets for 7hrs, kicking my self i din't turn up yesterday when my friends UNDERWORLD were playing the berlin festival.

the trees have eyes

between 1945-1946 ALL the trees in the tiergarten were cut down.

they've done a good job putting them back.

there were SO many birds singing in the rain today: it was easy to imagine being in the countryside right in the middle of a city.

on karl's recommendation, went to the exhibition of the art movement ZERO at martin-gropius-bau

which was good but it was all in german

and i'm on learning italian right now

and photos were NOT allowed
