i'm starting to get 'noah and the ark anxiety'.
woke to rain.
and it's rained ALL day.
sometimes the rain has been going horizontal as the wind's been up.
not extreme by american standards i know.
(i spoke to trent the other day about the hail we'd had that was the biggest i'd ever seen: "it was like frozen blueberries"
he said if it hails where he is, cars can get written off: hail's like grapefruit)
but heavy for moderate middle england.
went to chillenden for lunch at a recommended pub with cris and sang.
amazingly quaint hamlet with some beautiful, very old houses.
pub was nice looking.
food average.
but hideous 'anti children' policy.
they had a sign outside with "a strictly adult venture" written on it.
it was full of posh, old country twats.
the landlord seemed genuinely horrified that we'd brought maximum and z with us: wanker.
not to be repeated.
such beautiful countrtyside but seemingly has a horrible history: hard to imagine.
i drank a bullmers 'pear cider' and it made my wee green.
also to be avoided.
god made apples to make cider...not pears.
