weird times #735
got dressed up smart and went to church (for mothering sunday special) with mrs.perou, sons and my mum and dad.
maximum was very well behaved.
z was running around everywhere shouting out random words: 'MAN, BALL, CHAIR, NO etc....'.
it's been a LONG time since i was last in a church.
it was quite sweet.
they gave all the mothers small bunches of countryside flowers.

mum-mum and maximum
cooked a couple of garlic and lemon, roast chickens for lunch.
did them in the aga.
had to finish them in a microwave: still haven't mastered the aga-art yet.
glad i didn't re-open the pool as i was planning: there's a cold snap whipping us round the face today.
log fires a' burning.
hatches battened down.
