the return of the prodigal peacock
showing harry and jane around the grounds, commenting that everything looked bare in the winter without the foliage and flowers, found our missing peacock decaying in a flower bed, near the swimming pool.
'i've found the peacock' i shouted to mrs.perou who excitedly ran over thinking he'd come back.
for those who don't know, there was a peacock at the farm when we first viewed it but between seeing the place and buying the place, he had vanished and no-one knew where he had gone...he hadn't gone far.
we're quite sad to find him like this.
i expect the peahen has seen him here too.

happy new year deers
fred, maximum, polly and oscar.
we had a 'bad night': maximum coughing all through it and z waking up 4 times crying inconsolably.
today maximum's lost his voice from coughing so much.
he sound pretty cool though.
z has a heavy heavy cold.
crispin and sang left this morning.
the rest of us went to 'wildwood' country park.
which was cold and wet: most of the animals were missing: probably hibernating.
the wolves and the wild boar were COOL though.
have a god one y'all tonight.
we're playing it quiet here this year:
there's champagne in the fridge but i'd be surprised if we make it to midnight...
another year out.
hope all your (happy) dreams become reality and your nightmares never make it to your waking.
