woke up with a bad cold after a bad night's (not much) sleep.
i hate having a cold or being ill.
i mean, i know noone really likes it but it REALLY annoys me.

they left at 3.30am and arrived at 8.30am.
it's hard to find a good thatcher that you can trust and we're really glad to have found these master thatchers.
they did a repair on the thatch of the roof, on what will be my office.
despite having a high powered air rifle at the ready since i was advised to slaughter the entire family of squirrels doing damage to our roof, i haven't seen one at all.
i think they fess with thatch under the cover of night.
roy and john came and installed the solid oak panel adjacent to the solid oak electric gates.
slowly the compound is getting more fortified.
and 70 holly whips and 70 rose whips were delivered (to beef out the hawthorn with some evergreenery)
despite feeling like crap, i managed to plant 50 holly whips before heading to town with mrs.perou...by TRAIN!

caught a couple of tubes to a shop to exchange what i'd bought my brother the other day (which was knackered on inspection).
got really freaked out by the whole 'being on a tube' thing.
i don't think i've been on a tube in for at least 4 or 5 years.
there is ZERO security on the underground: anyone could have anything on any train at any time.
and whilst threats of terrorism don't usually bother me, i was really bothered.
checked into the sanderson.
kicked back a while.
(maximum and z being are being looked after by my kind brother and sister in law).
and headed to soho house for my agent's christmas bash.
i wasn't in the mood to abuse myself so i just drank water and ate many of the delicious foods.
