had a pleasant day at st clere house courtesy of JEEP who did a good job of trying to bribe me into buying a new grand cherokee.
it was a very polite, casual affair with no heavy handed sales pitch of any kind.
falconry, a little clay shooting, archery, an off road test drive through a wood and over some hills (sadly WAY too slow) and a very fine BBQ

we LOVED the falconry and listening to the fascinating falconer from the hawk board.
did you know if you hear a "twit-twoo" you're actually hearing two tawny owls calling to each other: one goes 'twit' and the other replies 'twoo'
this i never knew
i also learned about the derivation of terms such as 'wind up', end of my tether', 'fed up' and 'under the thumb' (all falconry related)
