you're not stuck in traffic: you are traffic
left the farm at 5.30am and DTT
took 2 and a half hours to get to the american embassy in grosvenor square .
one can always expect to find celebrities pushing to at the front of the queue for visas fist thing in the morning at the embassy.
this morning in front of me were hugh laurie, jamie oliver and richard madely.
i've photographed two out of three of these people.
i was told not to bring a mobile phone or laptop or ipod etc..
wasn't told not to bring car keys.
had to run to a local (cunning) chemist that was set up to hold keys and electronics in return for £3 and a raffle ticket.
had to join the back of the queue on my return.
spent the rest of the day driving round and round london, in circles, in heavy traffic.
drove 80 miles into london this morning.
did another 70 driving round it during the day.
exhausted.
decided to buy a honda cr-z.
went and sat in one in honda chiswick and almost bought it there and then, on the spot.
the GT version is great.
but it's 7g...yes, just 7! over the alowance for 100% tax rebate and free congestion charge and 0% road tax.
it chucks out 117g/co2 and the allowance is 110g/co2
very F. annoying.
you try and do the right thing....
absolutely knackered now.
staying in town: can't face the return drive.
for those of you who might have missed it (on my facebook page: HA!)
here's a new PEROU interview from dennon (not danon the yoghurt company as i first thought i was doing an interview for: ooo danon)
