sons eventually freed themselves from the fountain prison
so we could go round the sculpture exhibition, 'human factor' at the hayward.
we were warned about the unsuitable-for-children photographs of decomposing, mutilated, dead bodies and managed to avoid them.
we weren't so good at avoiding the room with the paul maccarthy life-like nudes of a woman on her back with her legs open and shaven haven out x3 or the making of videos in the next room.
i LOVE this beehive head by pierre huyghe that you're not allowed to photograph.
at least the show was thought provoking.
there were lots of 'spooky' and 'freaky' comments from sons.
i also loved martin honert's work there...

takeaway lunch from efes kebab, which i discovered on the day of my graduation from PCL and which has finally changed hands, sadly.
sat on a kerbside in the sun, to eat.
skipped our complimentary, salty yoghurt drinks after i nearly hurled sipping mine.
stopped to see the protest marching down regent's street.
we were having difficulty ascertaining what the protesters were protesting about, but it seems the completely mixed up crowd were protesting about EVERYthing.
walked round the corner to the yorkshire grey for the 20 year reunion of polytechnic of central london BA Hons in film, video and photographic arts.
it was unexpectedly pleasant to see people that i haven't seen in (20) years.
some i've seen more recently like auntie fiona and asif.

maximum flying
drove back east and burnt off some steam at the olympic park, on the adventure (time) playground.
as i was on the phone to auntie fiona, maximum was waving from the top of one of the support trees that isn't actually meant for climbing.
next it was all about how to clear the (high) top of the slide, at speed...

hot dogs dinner at the cygnet down by hackney wick locks.
YES
(photo: maximum perou)
so weird to be around there with lots of cool looking, arty-types.
i used to walk stratford down the towpath round the corner which was so overgrown and derelict, you could almost not get down it.
