DTT with mrs.perou and sons for the 'hackney's wicked' art festival...in hackney wick
so very strange to be back in our old manor.
we were first in and first out: 2000-2006.
we were the first people to inhabit the abandoned, derelict industrial estate that's now a thriving artist community.
the place really IS unrecognisable.
the old perou-factory is now a complex of gypsy bungalows.
all trace of our being there has been removed: even our garden and trees were bulldozed.

good to bump into some old friends on purpose and by accident.
good to see some art.
bad to be drinking hot cans of strongbow
fell in love with the paintings of michael nagle.
his website doesn't do his work justice: it's very special in 'real-life'.
am thinking about getting him to paint the sons.
BURNT TOAST
(2/3rd's of them at least).
burnt toast played a fine set on the mainstage.
in an inflatable stage protecting them (not us) from some scorching hot sun.
RTF for a swim and dinner by the pool: couldn't have done that in my beloved hackney wick.
maybe leaving wasn't such a bad idea...
